**Please be aware there is major road construction on highway 191 north of Moab, causing traffic delays. There is also regular heavy weekend traffic, which greatly increases during holidays, and traffic is usually at "rush hour" around 4-5pm or so. Please plan accordingly when entering town from the north side to get here before closing time (boarding hours listed below)**
Our record traffic made state news! Click here to see KUTV's report!
Due to recent spikes in COVID-19 positives in Grand County, we are asking clients to please call when they arrive during clinic hours (8-5 M-F and 8-12 on Saturdays) and await further instructions from a staff member. We are trying our best to maintain a 6 foot distance between clients inside the building. Grand County is also under a mask mandate until the end of 2020 as per Public Health Order SEUD 2020-08GC.
**Clients arriving on emergency after hours or during boarding hours on weekends (4-4.30pm on Saturday or the 8-8.30am and 4-4.30pm windows on Sunday) do not need to call, no one is around is to answer the business phone**
"Section 3. Subject to Section 4, all individuals within Grand County shall be required to wear a Face Covering that completely the nose and mouth in public areas, including any indoor or outdoor space open to the public, where consistent social distancing of at least six feet is not possible, reasonable, or prudent."

Please be aware that unlike some national parks, Arches and Canyonlands do not permit dogs on hiking trails, even on leash. Dead Horse Point State Park permits hiking with dogs on 6' leashes and dogs are welcome (leashed) on BLM land (Bureau of Land Management, ie public land).
Yes! We do doggy daycare! Whether for one day or a few weeks, we will take care of your pet while you are away.
Costs for boarding is $24 per day per animal. If you live in the Moab area, ask us about our local discount!
We have many different sizes and spaces available. Our runs are indoors, with the normal measuring approximately 3' wide x 6' feet deep and our largest run measuring at approximately 6' wide x 6' deep, with many smaller runs available to accommodate our littler furry friends. Our runs are made of concrete so the animals cannot see each other while in them. If space is permitting, we try our best to place your pet in the largest area available. During their stay most of our runs are big enough that if you have several dogs and want to them to room together they can.
Two to three times daily we "walk" the dogs, letting them out into one of two outdoor yards where they can run and play to their heart's content. If they do well with other dogs we will let them out with dogs of a similar size and age so they can play together.
Since the two yards are right next to each other we can place your dog on the opposite side of a group of dogs so they can get the dog-to-dog contact without being in with other dogs. If you are concerned about how your dog does with others or know they do not do well with other dogs at all we can leave the other yard empty.
We also have a separate room termed the "Presidential Suite" where your cat can stay comfortably out of sight and sound of any dogs.
It is required that dogs and cats be current on their vaccinations while boarding with us, for the safety of our hospitalized patients, as we are a veterinary hospital primarily, and other pets staying at our facility. We require proof of bordetella, distemper/parvo, and rabies vaccinations for dogs and feline distemper, feline leukemia, and rabies for cats. We strongly recommend boostering your dog's bordetella's vaccination at least 7 days prior to boarding for the best efficacy. You can fax or email proof of vaccinations ahead of time, or bring records with you at the time of drop off. Can't decipher your vaccination records? Our staff is well-versed in veterinary shorthand and abbreviations! Pet tags (such as rabies tags) do not count as proof of vaccination, nor do city license tags. We will need the actual date of administration by a veterinary facility, shelter, or humane society. We cannot accept vaccinations administered from feed stores. Much like the human influenza vaccination, bordetella does not cover every single form of "kennel cough" and boarding your animal at our facility is at your own risk.
At the discretion of the staff, as we are a veterinary hospital, pets that are coughing will not be walked or socialized with other animals currently boarding. This is due to the risk of contagious tracheobronchitis which we do not want spreading to other boarders or hospitalized patients.
We also board more than cats and dogs! In the past we have boarded ferrets, rabbits, mini pigs, ducks, geckos, fish, goats, and turtles. If bringing an "exotic" pet, please bring their food and any special items they may need such as bedding and their cage/terrarium. Our kennel staff also thanks you for detailed instructions on their special care.
Boarding hours are 8am to 4.45pm Monday through Friday and to 8am to Noon on Saturdays, and again between 4pm and 4:30pm Saturday afternoons. We have additional pick up/drop off times 8am to 8:30am Sunday mornings and 4pm to 4:30pm on Sunday afternoons. Inquire for pick up/drop off times during holidays.
If you have any unanswered questions or would like to make arrangements to board your pets, please call the clinic today at 435-259-8710.
